Dear Friends,
In the early 1960's, Dr. John and Dot Mooney, were new in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction, and began treating others at 207 Lee Street. At that time Carol Lind was six years old and often shared a room with the women who had come there for help.
Since then, a lot has changed. A hospital was built and the patients moved out. But for most of the thirty years that followed, Lee Street provided a safe haven for alcoholics, addicts and family members. The house was used as a family center and a halfway house during that time.
In 1996 Carol Lind & her husband, Dr. Robert Bryan, purchased Lee Street from Dot. After living there for over two years, they began to see how great the need was for a place where women could live for an extended period of time in a a supportive environment.
Their goal is to provide a safe and sober home to women motivated for recovery from alcohol and/or drug problems.
